Kids On Map iPhone App Review

It is a dangerous world out there and with so many abduction stories in the news, you may be wondering how you can protect your child beyond simply educating them about strangers. Well, if your child has their own cell phone, then you will probably want to install a brand new app called Kids On Map for iPhone. This app actually tracks your child’s whereabouts, alerting you immediately if something should occur that has put your child in danger. The app works in conjunction with another app–the Kids On Map (children’s app), keeping you always connected electronically to your child through a GPS tracking feature. You can enter the pin number of your child’s app to see their location on a Google map so you always know where they are.

The child’s app is programmed with a red button that they can push if they find themselves in a dangerous situation where they need help. It sends an alert to your parent app, letting you take action at once to call the police, thereby taking advantage of those crucial moments that are often lost when a child is abducted or attacked. You can also provide the child’s exact location, giving law enforcement the ability to quickly reach the scene.

With this app, you have additional peace of mind, knowing that you can check on your child’s location at any time, and that your child can send you a message if something is dreadfully wrong.  You can also use this app, yourself, sending a message to a trusted friend, or family member, if something should happen.   This can be a great protection if you have been threatened by someone, if you are in a violent relationship, or if you are going through a nasty divorce and you are concerned about your physical safety.

Features

  • no registration required
  • easy to use
  • view all of your children’s locations at the same time
  • emergency alert
  • can be used anywhere in the world

Kids On Map, version 1.0, can be installed on the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch (3rd and 4th generation), and iPad with iOS 4.3 or later.  It takes up little space–1.7 MB, and is designed to lengthen your phone’s battery life.  However, if you run the GPS all the time, this can affect the life of your battery.  It is recommended that you should keep the app in the iOS dock to make it the most effective.  This app is free and available only in English at this time.   Users are rating it 5 out of 5 stars, making this an app that every parent, or person concerned for their physical safety, should have.
