Tie Master Lite Nokia app Review

Description:

If you are still wearing clip-on ties then it is time to move on with your life.  Knowing how to properly tie a necktie is a skill that you will use throughout your life and even teach to your kids.  It is also a sign of class and business prowess.  If you can tie a variety of different knots, other people will notice and you will stand out among the other hundreds of thousands of businessmen out there.

The Tie Master Lite Nokia app shows you how to tie the Four-in-hand knot and promises that you can master it.  There are even some tutorial videos to help you out with it.  You should upgrade to the pro version to get a handle on ten different knots that can be tied and how they relate to different occasions and events.

Features:

  • This is the lite version which means it doesn’t have a ton of features, but it has enough to get you hooked
  • You can learn how to do the four-in-hand knot to stay looking casual while possessing an air of professionalism
  • To get more knots you will have to go to the app store and upgrade to the Pro version
  • The Pro Version has over ten different knots to choose from so that you can know what knot to tie for any occasion.  You can look professional when you need to, and casual when it’s appropriate
  • There is also a small video you can watch to help you with tying the best knots out there
  • The app works best when it is saved onto the phone’s memory

Conclusion:

As far as education apps go this is a great one to have on hand if you are a male in the business world.  It can never hurt to get an edge in the business world, and this app can help you do just that.  You will have a variety of different knots you will learn how to tie and you can show off to coworkers that you take your dress seriously, and that you would make a good candidate for any position.  A cool idea for an app because tie knotting is one of those things males take pride in.  The only bad part about the app is that it only contains one knot for you to learn how to tie.  Most people already know at least one method of tying a tie, so it would have been smart to put at least two methods on there just in case people already know that one.  Would help it appeal to a larger market and get the app out to more people.

Dictionary & Translation Pro Nokia app Review

Description:

There are a lot of different occasions where it would be really nice to have a thesaurus, dictionary, or translator handy.  What if you are reading a book and you don’t understand one of the words?  Or what if you need synonyms of a word to help with writing an essay.  Lastly, wouldn’t it be nice to have a translator for your school and business needs?  The Dictionary and Translation Pro Nokia app was created to fulfill those needs.  In this app you have access to all three of those sources (Thesaurus, Dictionary, and Translator) and can use them as much as you want as long as you have an internet connection.

There are hundreds of thousands of words in the dictionary and more words are constantly being updated to the database.  You can also find translations in a number of different languages.

Features:

  • This is an extremely simple app to use and all you really have to do is touch once to access a thesaurus, dictionary, and translation service all in one
  • This app has information for a variety of different languages including Arabic, French, Spanish, German, Hindu, Italian, and many others
  • There are over a million words that are located in the dictionary portion of the app and it is always being updated with more words as language professionals see fit
  • You will have access to all of these tools and features as long as you can access the internet
  • The easiest way to use the app is to use the “Enter Word” function and type in the English word that you would like to get a definition for.  The app will then get online and give you thesaurus, dictionary, and translation services to choose from
  • You can use the simple left and right buttons to toggle between the Thesaurus, Dictionary, and Translator
  • You can have all of these tools right inside of your pocket

Conclusion:

This app is great because you are really getting three apps in one and it is all for free.  It’s nice that you can type in any word and get access to all three tools that are provided.  The user interface makes it super easy to toggle between the different services and make the most out of the application.  The only downside to this app is that you have to have a connection to the internet in order to use it.  The databases are contained entirely online so you won’t be able to get information if you don’t have connection to a 3G or WiFi network.
